Terms of use

Who we are
Grower Stand is run by Jake Browne, in Colorado, USA. Questions about these terms, or anything else, go to [email protected].
What Grower Stand is
Grower Stand runs websites where independent plant growers sell their own plants. Each shop on Grower Stand belongs to its grower.
One Grower Stand account works on every Grower Stand site and at every shop on them.
Buying plants
When you buy, you buy from the grower, not from Grower Stand. The grower is the seller: they set their prices, take your payment, ship your plants, and handle refunds, replacements and any sales tax. Questions about an order go to that grower; their contact details are on their shop.
Card and bank payments go to the grower's own Stripe account. We never see your card details.
Plants are living things. What a grower promises about them (how they'll arrive, what they replace) is between you and the grower.
Selling plants
If you run a shop, you're responsible for what you list, for shipping plants lawfully to where you send them, and for your own taxes.
Grower Stand keeps 3% of card and bank payments made through your shop, taken automatically when the buyer pays. Payments by check, PayPal, Venmo or Zelle go straight to you and we take nothing from them. If we agreed a one-time setup fee with you, it's paid before your shop opens.
You can close your shop at any time from your seller pages. Your records stay yours.
Plant information
Registration details and registry photos of daylilies come from the American Daylily Society, used with its permission and credited where they appear.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself. If you think someone else has got into your account, change your password and sign out everywhere else from your account page, and tell us.
We may close an account that's used for fraud, abuse or to harm others, and we'll tell you why.
What we promise, and what we don't
We work to keep Grower Stand running and your information safe, but the sites are provided as they are, without guarantees that they'll always be available or free of mistakes.
As far as the law allows, Grower Stand isn't responsible for losses that come from using the sites, and its total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid Grower Stand itself (not growers) in the 12 months before.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email account holders before the change takes effect, and the date at the top will change.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
